Introducing the Village Homes at Sundance Mountain Resort

Nestled within the base village at Sundance Mountain Resort, the Village Homes feature six unique residences that combine the charm of Sundance Mountain Resort with luxury finishes, high end construction, and an irreplicable location with direct slopeside access. Built in the former location of Robert Redford's personal office and studio, the Village Homes are situated along the banks of the North Fork creek which provides the calming sounds and smells of a mountain stream just steps from your back deck.
Designed by Prospect Studio from Jackson Hole, WY, the Village Homes offers not just a residence, but an unparalleled mountain living experience, where direct access to the mountain and all that the resort has to offer is just outside your front door. In addition to this new project, Sundance Mountain Resort is undergoing a major transformation that includes new ski lifts, ski terrain, resort amenities, and the new Inn opening in 2026.

The Architects: Prospect Studio
A conversation between friends
Prospect started as a conversation between friends. Partners John, Danny and Matt wanted to create a studio where people felt empowered by a collaborative practice and inspired by the spaces they designed. This vision has resulted in a place where challenges are approached with an open mind and success is measured in community value.
Each partner brings his own unique approach and experience to Prospect. John offers an intimate knowledge of the West and decades’ worth of experience, while Danny’s youthful dynamism and outside perspective energize the firm. Matt’s measured approach and technical aptitude bring even the most complex projects to life. Together, they leverage their complementary skill sets to provide the best possible solutions for their clients.

About Sundance Mountain Resort
Sundance Mountain Resort is located at the base of 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos, in Provo Canyon, Utah. The 2,600 acre resort includes 1,862 acres of land preserved through a conservation easement and restrictive covenants, including the 316 acre Redford Family Elk Meadows Preserve.

In 1969, Robert Redford bought the land now known as Sundance Mountain Resort and envisioned the careful growth of a community committed to the balance of art, nature and community. As investors began eyeing the picturesque locale as a place to erect expansive condominiums, Redford wanted “to develop a little and preserve a great deal.” Rejecting advice from New York investors to fill the canyon with an explosion of lucrative hotels and condominiums, Redford saw his newly acquired land as an ideal locale for environmental conservation and artistic experimentation.
Many writers, directors, actors and artists have been inspired by the beauty of this canyon. Years of experimentation and refinement have ultimately resulted in what we now call Sundance Mountain Resort. It's this ability to blend process and place that makes it dynamically unique and places it on uncharted waters on a steady course all of its own. Today, Sundance Mountain Resort offers an atmosphere steeped in cultural heritage.
Our Vision
To build upon Robert Redford’s legacy as stewards of this mountain drawing inspiration from art nature, and humanity to provide a place of discovery.
Our Mission
To be a leading North American experience-driven destination that ignites the senses, nurtures the soul, inspires stewardship, and fosters creativity.

“Nature we have always with us, an inexhaustible store-house of that which moves the heart, appeals to the mind, and fires the imagination— health to the body, a stimulus to the intellect, and joy to the soul."
— John Burroughs
